Schaedler Yesco Distribution, Inc. has a combined history of over 130 years in servicing electrical material needs, based on a foundation that was firmly established by two organizations. Schaedler Bros., Inc. was created in 1924 by brothers Harry, Andrew, and William Schaedler, a partnership that started simply with the purchasing, plating, assembling, and selling of light fixture parts. Twenty years later, Motter Electric Company was incorporated to distribute electrical supplies. In 1956, Motter officially changed its name to York Electrical Supply Company (YESCO). 
   
   Since their beginnings, much history has been written, including the 1999 merger of the two companies into one. Today, Schaedler Yesco is the largest electrical distributor headquartered in central Pennsylvania, with stores in Harrisburg, York, Lancaster, Lebanon, Williamsport, State College, and Chambersburg.
