AP Specialist (Harrisburg Branch)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:


• Open and distribute Accounts Payable mail daily.
Receive, review, process, batch and file vendor invoices daily for payment; review other team
  members’ batches for accuracy; take advantage of all established vendor discounts.
Research and resolve vendor invoice discrepancies and charge backs weekly.
Receive and review monthly vendor statements to identify open invoices/credits; resolve issues.
Verify against SYD Eclipse software.
Request missing invoice/credit copies from vendors.
Process and issue checks per SYD schedule including:
ACH payments
EFT payments
EDI remittance advice
Manual check processing and mailing
Update vendor files daily per various inputs/revisions.
Respond to auditor requests during the yearly audit by providing information and documentation.
Review Affiliated Distributors vendor list semi-annually.
Download from AD website
Review and compare to SYD vendor list
Analyze work instructions for possible improvements of the accounts payable and check issuance
  policy; recommend changes to manager.
Clear outstanding issues on AP reports monthly:
Unapproved/not received payables (process and approve within one week, unless there is an
  outstanding issue documented with a JQ)
Unbilled stock receipts (clear those over 6 months old)
Unbilled credits (keep current within 90 days)
Reconcile branch cash boxes daily.

Knowledge/Experience/Education:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. Minimum two years’ experience in Accounts Payable.
3. Understanding of basic accounting practices and procedures.
4. Excel and Word proficiency.
5. 10-key proficiency by touch.

Industrial Automation Specialist (Northern Region)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:


• Work with Outside Sales on account strategies
• Maintain a personal presence at our top automation accounts
• Provide Technical Support to our customers as required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:


• Pull Material using an RF system
Unload, receive and put away material
Verify stock availability for company salesmen as requested
Prepare UPS orders
Organize placement of material on trucks for effective and timely delivery
Deliver material to customers and pick-up returns
Communicate with sales department regarding order problems
Build and maintain customer service relationships
Assist in various tasks that promote the effective functioning of the warehouse

Qualifications:

1. Ability to read and understand written and oral directions
2. Basic mathematics skills
3. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy
4. Basic computer skills
5. Lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds
6. Observe legal and defensive driving practices

Site Inventory Management
Field Specialist (Pittsburgh Area)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:


• Conduct on site visits to customer storerooms or SIMS trailers to evaluate inventory levels and create
replenishment orders based on min/reorder levels established by the customer using a scanning
system.
• Assure the accuracy of customer’s inventory system by maintaining and updating all product
information and product labels on shelving and bins.
• Organize and set up product based on customer preferences.
• Stock material on customer shelves as required.
• Facilitate customer requests and problem resolution in a timely manner.
• Effectively communicate with SIMS team or other company resources on customer needs or
requests.
• Continue to develop relationships with the identified key personnel; project managers, field
supervisors, electricians, storeroom personnel, purchasing agents.
• Enter sales calls with pertinent customer information or feedback.
• Work jointly with account salesperson on products that are not in the inventory management program
but have potential for inclusion.
• Maintain high level of customer confidence through excellent customer service and support.
• Gain an understanding of project coordination, job conditions, scheduling of material and project
management for our SIMS jobs.
• Follow up on all open orders, bids, and credits with customer until completed.
• Continual education on electrical products, applications, and solutions is required
• Maintain safety standards established by company and the customer while on a job site or in a
storeroom.

Knowledge/Experience/Education:

1. Possess good time management skills
2. Highly motivated and positive attitude
3. Good verbal and written communication skills
4. Basic computer skills - familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, Internet Explorer.
5. Current Pennsylvania driver’s license with clean driving record required
6. High School Diploma or equivalent required
7. Construction knowledge or distribution knowledge helpful
